Yo Veggie Breaks Ground in Brighton

Members of Council, staff, representatives from Northumberland County, and Quinte Economic Development Commission met with the ‘Yo Veggie’ team to break ground at the site of their new location in the Brighton Industrial Park. The planned 10,500-square-foot ‘Yo Veggie’ facility will produce yogurt and vegetable dips and employ 8 to 10 people to start.

Morteza Younesi, ‘Yo Veggie”s owner, started looking for a property for his business nearly 3 years ago. He said he chose Brighton because of the beautiful landscape, wonderful people, and its strategic positioning between Montreal and Toronto along the 401 corridor – “it’s everything you need”!

The project represents a 3-million-dollar investment in Brighton. The team hopes to be up and operational by mid-2024. Congratulations to everyone involved in this project and thank you for choosing Brighton.
