Quinte Manufacturers Association Gathers at The Machining Center for Industry Insights and Innovation

On February 25th, members of the Quinte Manufacturers Association (QMA) gathered at The Machining Center in Belleville for the latest QMA networking event. Held 3–4 times per year, these events offer industry leaders a chance to connect, share best practices, and explore the operations of a host facility. Attendees were given an inside look at The Machining Center, a second-generation, family-run business led by Kevin and Sarah, both active QMA members and steering committee participants. The company seamlessly integrates traditional and modern technology, from a well-maintained manual lathe still in operation to cutting-edge CNC machines, 3D printing, and laser cutting, machining, fabrication, and design capabilities. Their expertise spans advanced manufacturing, medical, nuclear, agrifood, food processing, infrastructure and more, providing custom, one-of-a-kind solutions for clients locally and globally.

Their innovative approach has also influenced multinational corporations—solutions developed for local branch plants have been adopted corporately and implemented in other facilities worldwide.

Beyond their industry contributions, Kevin and Sarah foster an outstanding corporate culture, evident in their highly engaged team and community involvement. Their Instagram presence has grown to an impressive 69,000+ followers, a testament to their ability to showcase their work effectively (Instagram | Facebook).

Their commitment to the community is just as strong. This March, they will host a March Break Birdhouse Workshop, inviting customers and community members to bring children (ages 4+) into the shop to design and build their own stainless steel birdhouses.

Adding to the insights from the facility tour, attendees also enjoyed a presentation from WACADS Group on the growing role of A.I. in manufacturing, sparking discussions on how businesses can leverage technology for future growth.
