BCS Automation Breaks Ground on $10.7-Million Belleville Facility
November 3, 2026
The expansion adds advanced manufacturing capacity in the Bay of Quinte and supports work tied to Canada’s National Shipbuilding Strategy.
BCS Automation broke ground in September 2026 on a new advanced manufacturing facility on Station Street in Belleville. The $10.7-million investment will give the company more than 37,000 square feet of space to expand its operations and support projects in the marine and industrial sectors.
Founded in 1989, BCS Automation has grown from its Belleville roots into a supplier of automation products and services to customers around the world. The company specializes in marine and industrial electrical systems, process control and instrumentation. Its new facility will support work in marine electrical systems, industrial automation and power-control equipment, including projects tied to Canada’s National Shipbuilding Strategy.
The expansion builds on more than 35 years of operating in Belleville. For the Bay of Quinte, it’s an example of how established local manufacturers can grow here while serving customers in Canada and abroad. It also highlights a connection between the region’s industrial expertise and Canada’s defence supply chains. The electrical and control systems that companies like BCS Automation build are part of the work that supports major shipbuilding projects.
