Quinte West introduces new Industrial Land Community Improvement Plan (CIP)
QUINTE WEST, July 30, 2019 – The City of Quinte West is looking to attract new businesses to the area through the implementation of their new Industrial Land Community Improvement Plan (CIP). The first of its kind in Eastern Ontario, this program provides financial incentive programs aimed at encouraging industrial development.
The Quinte West Industrial lands CIP is intended to stimulate private sector investment in targeted industrial areas in the City. Successful applicants will benefit from grants designed to help applicants reduce the costs associated with municipal property taxes. This program is open to new developments and existing businesses that choose to expand on both municipally and privately owned industrial lands.
Quinte West is committed to promoting economic growth by providing incentives to attract new businesses and encourage investment from existing businesses,” says Linda Lisle, Manager of Economic Development for the City of Quinte West. “We want to ensure quality employment opportunities, modern, environmentally responsible work environments, and a diverse, advanced industrial sector for the overall benefit and prosperity of the City.
