The Quinte Economic Development Commission (QEDC) is a regional economic development office representing the Cities of Belleville, Quinte West and the Municipality of Brighton. The Bay of Quinte Region specializes in food processing, packaging, advanced manufacturing, logistics and other sectors. The QEDC’s mission is to regionally market its member municipalities as well as support existing industries to be more competitive and profitable.
QEDC is located in the Quinte Business Development Centre in the Pioneer Building at Loyalist College, is a central, location for business and economic development services. Co-located with other Provincial, Federal and municipally supported agencies, the QBDC is a one-stop-shop for businesses.
The QEDC, its municipalities and strategic partners provide:
- site selection,
- relocation and expansion support,
- workforce training and recruitment,
- identification of incentives,
- programs and grants,
- business counselling
- Research support
- fast tracked development approvals
