August 21, 2013- Ontario is helping locally owned business Domtech Inc. expand production, while creating 17 new jobs and retaining 87 existing jobs.
With support from the Eastern Ontario Development Fund (EODF), Domtech is investing in innovative technology and equipment to produce new products and expand its existing electrical wire and cable product lines. The new equipment will help improve efficiency, increase productivity and enable Domtech to compete in new global markets.
Providing the right climate to attract investment, create jobs and grow the economy is part of the Ontario government’s plan to build a prosperous and fair province for all people of Ontario.

- Since 2008, the government has committed over $63 million through the EODF, leveraging a total investment of more than $615 million.
- To date, 116 projects have been announced through the EODF, helping to create and protect more than 14,600 jobs in eastern Ontario.
- The government passed legislation making the EODF permanent in October 2012.
