Construction for the new facility will commence in early summer and the new building will be 30,000 sq. ft., about 30 per cent larger than their current Facility. The new and larger facility is expected to increase the business capacity by about 40 percent.
In the hatchery, fertilized eggs are brought into the facility and 21 days later chicks are hatched, sorted, vaccinated and sold to commercial farms across Ontario.
Archer’s feed mill is staying in Brighton along with the barns with hatching supplies and the business’ main office.
