Tertiary (Post-Secondary) Education: Colleges, Universities Nearby
Loyalist College and the Loyalist Training and Knowledge Centre offer diplomas and certificates in practical skills to better serve businesses. A close connection with QEDC allows these institutions to respond to the needs of the local business community for specialized, results-based training in e-commerce, manufacturing, telecommunications and personal development.
Loyalist College offers biofood, laboratory and manufacturing programs through a partnership with Guelph University’s Food Technology Centre. The Ontario East Food Study said Loyalist has the “most relevant food training curriculum in Ontario.”
Within an hour’s drive, reach UOIT’s Automotive Centre of Excellence – a particular benefit to Auto parts Manufacturers looking to capitalize on Canada’s Research and Development Grants for innovation. Neighbouring Universities Trent, Queen’s, UOIT and RMC are also responsible for supplying highly skilled employees to the Bay of Quinte Region.
And still, The Belleville Academy of Learning (private post-secondary career college) offers unique computer and business training, specializing in computer applications, information technology, business skills and healthcare training.

The six different school boards in the Bay of Quinte (two French) each have a collection of schools throughout the region. There are also three private schools, notably, CAIS secondary school Albert College, in Belleville.
