Innovation & Advanced Manufacturing fueled Bay of Quinte’s success.

When you continue to buy locally made products, you’re sharing your awareness of our manufacturers’ contributions and helping advocate for policies that help Bay of Quinte manufacturers.

Daily living items (like food and drink) with the “Proudly Made in Bay of Quinte” logo in local grocery stores are very visible local products. But there are many more locally made products people won’t see everyday: from electrical wire to dinosaur moldings.

The world-class technology and innovation used in these manufacturing plants has created more smart and efficient production. This advanced manufacturing has really bolstered the sector as a whole and fueled prosperity in the Bay of Quinte region.

In fact, manufacturing consistently brings new money into the region, which is then circulated to other sectors like retail, transportation, construction, service, and ICT. This helps create better opportunities for all residents by:

  • Offering direct, high quality, high paying jobs;
  • Creating more full time jobs and entrepreneurial opportunities;
  • Motivating our youth to stay closer to home and take world-class training at Loyalist College;
  • Providing a source of pride for our friends, family & neighbours
  • Allowing the community to offer more leisure and recreation programs.

Here are just some of the items produced with pride here in the region. You can buy many of these at places like Dewe’s and Smylie’s Independent Grocer; others are just part of your daily life and continue to contribute to Bay of Quinte’s renowned prosperity and high-quality living.
