500 km of shoreline is just the start of a long list of places your family will love to spend time in the Bay of Quinte. Cottage Country is on your doorstep and so are over seven provincial parks: Algonquin, Frontenac, Silent Lake, Bon Echo, Presqu’ile, North Beach and Sandbanks.

Family friendly events help you enjoy every season. From one of Ontario’s largest Country Fairs (Norwood at Thanksgiving) to Marmora’s SnoFest and dog-sledding in February. There’s also Belleville Waterfront Festival, Brighton’s Applefest, the Bay of Quinte West Summer Festival, and the Festival of Lights (in Belleville and Quinte West). The Bay of Quinte Tourism website lists a complete list of Sports and Culture activities.

Haliburton, Batawa and Barry’s Bay ski hills are great day trips, as are the Warsaw Caves and Petroglyphs. There are museums (like the National Airforce Museum of Canada), theatre guilds (and the Empire Theatre), miles of bike paths, year round sports like swimming and hockey, as well as gymnastics, ballet and dance schools.

Get a softened Canadian climate thanks to the “Lake Effect” of nearby Lake Ontario, yet still witness all the four seasons. Ottawa and Toronto are easy weekend trips to visit family or take in large shows and “must see” Ontario icons like Winterlude and Toronto Island.

The Bay of Quinte enjoys great healthcare with over four hospitals and lots of medical clinics who are always willing to take new patients.
